The lion king takes place in the Pride Lands of Africa where the King Musafa is the ruling lion. He and Queen Sarabi have a son named Simba, the new heir of the throne. Simba's uncle, Scar, becomes filled with rage as he is no longer able to take over the throne. He then decides to plot and kill Muasa and Simba by setting off a s stampede. He ensures that Mufasa falls to his death and blames the death on Simba. Simba then fleas pride rock and is told to never return. He is rescued by Timon and Pumbaa and the three grow up together. Later on, Nala, Simbas childhood friend accidentally meets him in the forest and begs him to return. He eventually does so and faces Scar. Once he learns that Scar was responsible for his father's death, Simba takes his revenge.
The lion king has only two major character deaths, Scar the antagonist and Mufasa, the main characters father. Many audiences find it difficult to connect to Hamlet because of his actions in comparison to Simba's. This is because the film made Simba more kid-friendly as he also lives in a world where there is clear right asnd wrong. However in Hamlet, these margins are blurred and Hamlet goes to great lengths in order to feel at peace. Despite this, both texts have hidden connections withing the plot and obstacles that the protagonists had to face. TO TAKE A LOOK AT THE COMPOSERS OF THESE TEXTS PRESS THE BUTTON BELOW. |
